It was not supposed to be like this. But since working in a company that operates at 24/7, you'd be expecting a shift rotation. But it has not been like this for a year and a half.
It all started last July 4. THe US Independence Day. Because our client won't be needing us that much, they decided to put our restdays in split off. That's one of the things I hate -- split off. I want to rest completely. And going to the office today and resting tomorrow then will go back the next day after is not my cup of tea really.
But hey, I am not the only affected so they said, just say yes.
And yeah, I forgot I am applying for another job in our company. So as soon as I am going to Tagaytay with my officemates to savor the 3 days off that our office gave us to compensate the two straight weeks of split off restdays, came the call that I am promoted and I need to report to work the day after.
So, I realized after saying yes to the new schedule, I'll be having a one day off again and the rest I'll be working again.
Argh!

To calm myself, I just thought, just look at the bright side. You are promoted.
Oh yeah yeah yeah -- but that is after working straight for 3 straight weeks of blah blah blah blah.... !!!!!
