“I love that you get cold when it is 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle in your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” -- When Harry Met Sally

Greatest Escape
One laidback afternoon, I was in a hammock, reading a romance pocketbook, letting my hair be blown away by the wind while I sipped through my favorite drink with a great music on the background at a wonderful beach.
Then, the next afternoon, I was still in the hammock, my head is resting through the love of my life's chest, whispering sweet nothings, laughing, tickling each other, fully ignoring the time and again, we are in that wonderful place that is just the two of us.
Haaayyyy .... where is that place? I have been to a lot of place and although in my head I already have a place in mind that I know I will go to whenever I feel like to be detached in this very busy world, my mind would still wander and still wants to find a place that is so perfect for a grand escape getaway [that's too much I know].
I was holding this magazine of where is the 10's best great escape and my mind wander again for the new year's celebration for tonight.
Well -- maybe in May. Or before May, I will be in this place where this is hammock that i can lie down, read my favorite book with a great air while on my Ipod i am listening to 'Time for cool change, I know that its time for a cool change..'

My Rule: Do Not Procastinate
We are always reminded: never put off anything til tomorrow what you can do today. We always let ourselves to forget to do the things that are important and focus more on what is easy and what is more fun to get busy with.Well, I just thought of thinking differently this time instead of reminding myself of that famous phrase everyday. This one I got from my planner and this is what I am going to be for this new year:
"Always put off until tomorrow what you should not do at all."
Nice, isn't it? :)

Potato Couch Me
Potato couch moments ...
Hitch: Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away.
--******--
Hitch: Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.
I just love Mr. Hitch movie, don't you?
You Can Make A Difference
One song can spark a moment
One candle wipes out the darkness
One flower can wake the dream
One laugh can conquer gloom
One tree can start a forest
One step must start each journey
One bird can herald a spring
One word must start each prayer
One smile begins a friendship
One hope will rise our spirit
One star can guide a ship at sea
One touch can show how you care
One word can frame a goal
One voice can speak with wisdom
One vote can change a nation
One heart can know what's true
One sunbeam can light a room
One life can can make the difference
You see it's up to you............... :)

My Little Christmas Tree
I am just like any Christmas-excited-people who always wants to have a Christmas tree when it's Christmas time. Who doesn't want Christmas tree anyway? The Grinch? But then, I've tried to buy three times to get one but my parents would always put it where I don't want it. Simply because it is near them and far from my bedroom. So my bedroom is very bare with the spirit of the Yuletide season. And come New Year, they will keep it where the rats will have a feast on it.
So this year, I decided to buy a very tiny Christmas tree [found it in National Bookstore] and decorated it myself. Tiny enough to have my own little Christmas tree in my room while my parent's eye are beaming with the lights from that big tree in the living room. As you can see, it is just sitting beside my keyboard :)
I took a picture of it. And I said ... hmm not bad. Merry Christmas to my humble lil room! :)

A Different Look at My Gmail Email
I just recently looked at the settings of my Gmail and there I saw something different. The "Themes" part. I don't for how long it has been there or when was it launched by Gmail but it's there. So I take a look at it. Im quite surprised that they also put a theme on the email. It's not the usual plain, old, simple, bland looking email you see everyday. There's quite a few themes you can choose from and I think [or I hope] Gmail will still be adding some to it.
After I chose my theme for my Gmail, it asked me where my location is. My thinking mind asks ... why? Gmail just says because it changes the look of the theme depending on what time on your location. It's not qoute and unqoute but its just how I understood the Gmail people.
And I just said OK....
The next day, this picture above that you can see, actually changed. Because it is already afternoon when I opened it, you can see the shady part of the hills where the other half is sunny and the other part is just not sunny yet not really cloudy. So, there I thought I understood what they mean to say.If it's morning, this is the part of the hill that you are going to see and on the evening, here is what you're going to see - a different view. The view varies. Really. And I know if it is just the kid in me but I am really amazed and amused.
Now, everytime I open my gmail account, it is what I usually first check out. So, how does my theme look like at this time?
You should try it. It's like putting a new twist on how you usually view your emails because, I, myself is enjoying the view as well. :)
Here's what it looks like now:

Climate Change
(picture taken from cpsu.org.au site)
While waiting for my turn at a clinic, I was reading Manila Bulletin. It tackles the recent Copenhagen Climate Conference 2009. The article did not thoroughly discussed all the things debated or discussed on the conference. Instead, the writer focused on a situation wherein countries like Philippines will be likely concerned. And while reading it, it gave me a chill feeling. A scary feeling.
According to the article, because of the climate change, water level increases. The increase can be brought about by different factors and of course, I think you already have an idea what are those. And if water level increases, islands or tiny countries on the map like Philippines can be submerged into water eventually. When we are submerged into the water, we will be phased out and the council for the climate change can actually vote that the country shall be removed on the map. And we will no longer be a country. Once we are but if this happens, we will no longer be "Philippines". We will just be part of a "forgotten country ".... "once a country" ... or "vanished country". There will be a time where you will be telling your children or granddaughter someday "there was once a country named Philippines but because of the climate change, it vanished ..."
Scary but it's true. It can happen.
So, now, I am more aware that I need to do my share on preventing climate change.

My Navigator Journal Planner 2010
I already have a planner for 2010 yet my friend of mine thought of buying me one. He knows I got one already but he told me that I am going to love it.
And he was right.
I love the Navi 2010 Journal / Planner. It's caption even said "your life navigator." J said that I am not lakwatsera but an unknown traveller / wanderer to myself. I don't really care if there is a storm ahead of where I am going to as long as i reached my destination. Even my other friends said that there's too much hunger in me to navigate new places.
The note says: "You've been staying in one place for quite some time. We miss navigating with you. Make this coming year as your navigator's year!"
Awww!!!
Yeah .. promise! Looking at the interior of the journal / planner, one would really relive his / her passion for travelling. Aside from the expense tracker, there is a bucket list page, one from the writer and the other is a blank page -- your page to make your own bucket list! I already have mine and my mind is still thinking for more! Planner for your trips is also part of this - where you will be going and your itineraries. The writer even included some of his personal thoughts / experiences on those places he's been to. I always forgot to use my camera whenever I go on trips. As sometimes, I find myself backpacking and going to a trip alone so there is no constant reminder of let's take a picture of this and that! All of the scenes are stock in my mind sadly. But this year, I'll make it visible to my naked eyes! I promise :)
As an added bonus, Navi Journal attached some coupons for you to enjoy for the rest of the year: Ace Water Spa, Spa Heaven, Fish & Co., Flapjacks, and among many others.
But most importantly, Navi is dedicating this wonderful planner / journal to Mio:

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010
I am an addict when it comes to movies -- admittedly. And one of my comeback-wishlist-movies is the "Nightmare on Elm Street". It was a very old movie but when I saw it when I was a kid, it gave me sleepless night and horrible nightmares. I even had a fever then, according to my mom, just to think of Freddie Krueger invading my dreams.
But, it's all in the past.
With the currently advance technology we have right now, I know Hollywood can make a better version of Freddie in the 20th century.
And I can't wait to see it right before my eyes ...
It's Freddie time -- It's nightmares time again!!!

PHR Book Signing / Writer- Fans Day
Are you a fan of Tagalog Romance pocketbooks? Admittedly, I am. Especially when the publisher is Precious Hearts Romances. They are so good that they even acquired the ever famous Harlequin Mills Boon -- which is of course, our own writer's story version.
Last week, at National Bookstore in SM North Edsa, writers and fans got to meet and mingle with each other.Though it is not my first time, this year, more writers attended the tour to the fans delight. I am with my niece and to my surprise, one of the fans/writer thought we are just best friends. Hmmm... haha. Here are some of the highlights:
Well, I won't tell who is who .. lol. We brought with us our favorite books for each writers and we have them signed by each one of them.We even have our pictures with them. Isn't it great? Some even brought with them a bundle of book for each writers. I guess, their hands are aching after that.
Lines are long and the crowd are so excited to get up close and personal with their idols. After a long wait, we had our chance for each writer we want to have our books signed. We decided to eat for a while. Unfortunately, as soon as we're back, the raffle has already ended. But what the heck, that afternoon was a blast.
